Human Resources Generalist

As an individual contributor, the HR Generalist will be responsible for the overall administration and coordination of HR practices and processes, including payroll, benefits, new hire onboarding/orientation and compliance. You will partner with the company leadership in the talent acquisition process that includes job posting, managing the various internal and external job boards and websites including the company’s ATS (Applicant Tracking System), administration of pre-employment assessments, declination letters, offer letters and may be asked to sit in on interviews. You will support business needs and ensure the proper administration of company performance management and compensation practice and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with e-Verify, EEOC, ACA (to include the annual reporting requirements), HIPAA, FMLA and other applicable regulations
  • Process bi-weekly payroll and related deductions, changes, commissions, bonuses, etc through the company’s online payroll solution.
  • Assist CFO with evaluation of, and lead administration of, compensation and benefit programs
  • Assist hiring managers with the coordination of the hiring process including: job posting process (internal and external), Applicant Tracking System, pre-employment assessments, declination letters, offer letters, etc.
  • Onboard new employees
  • Ensure the proper administration of the annual performance review process, 360 evaluation process and the compensation adjustment processes
  • Knowledgeable and “go-to” person on policy and process questions for managers and employees related to (FMLA, Disability, Leave of Absence, etc.).
  • Address and escalate employee requests, grievances and other issues
  • Perform ad hoc requests and assist with special projects and other initiatives as needed

Hard Skills/Knowledge

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements: e-Verify, EEOC, ACA (including annual reporting requirements), ADA, HIPAA, FMLA, etc.
  • Experience with various payroll processing systems
  • Experience with benefit administration programs
  • Experience with talent acquisition process including Applicant Tracking Systems, job postings, interviewing, etc.
  • Experience with onboarding new hires
  • Experience with the administration of employee performance review processes

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in an HR administration role
  • PHR preferred
  • Experience with Google and Gmail, Wiki, various software solutions such as SuccessFactors, Trello, Top Grading, highly preferred.
